Honors Band will be participating in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading process. This is our band program's yearly evaluation, and is completely mandatory for all Honors Band members. They will perform 3 pieces on stage for an audience and a panel of judges, and then they will walk to another room, be given a brand new piece of music, and have 8 minutes to learn it before they perform it for another panel of 3 judges. All 6 total judges each give a rating from 1 to 5, with 1 being "Superior." Parents, friends, and family are all welcome to attend both the concert and sight reading portions of the event.
